The Otter Room’s Notre Dame-USC Predicitions

Even if USC wins, we can take comfort in knowing the NCAA will eventually vacate the result.

Taylor Seale – Notre Dame 35, USC 24 (Record: 5-0, ATS: 5-0)

“USC’s run defense is terrible and we’ve got two running backs on the field every down. ND doesn’t drop two night games at home.” (Editor’s note: except for last year)

Ka Hin Lee – Notre Dame 31, USC 28 (Record: 4-1, ATS: 3-2)

“Justin Yoon is gonna hit the game-winner.”

Mike O’Connor – Notre Dame 38, USC 31 (Record: 3-2, ATS: 2-3)

“Wimbush struggles in the passing game, but the ND running game wears the Trojans down late.”

Dan Bettencourt – Notre Dame 34, USC 31 (Record: 5-0, ATS: 5-0)

“A win for the Irish sealed by a Wimbush push.”

Beau Dolan – USC 28, Notre Dame 17 (Record: 2-3, ATS: 1-4)

“Brandon feeds off my low expectations. Let’s keep this train running.”

Joe Wirth – Notre Dame 30, USC 27 (Record 5-0, ATS: 4-1)

“USC is banged up on both sides of the ball, but they present the biggest athletic challenge to the Notre Dame defense. The Irish don’t necessarily have to play keep away, but they have to win the time of possession battle – something they have don just once this year. Whomever controls the lines and avoids turnovers wins and with USC near the bottom of the FBS in turnovers with 16, you can bank on the Trojans turning the ball over. Just ignore the fact that ND is 1-9 in its last 10 games decided by one score.”

Guest Picker: Cali Brah Correspondent Nick Lupica  – Notre Dame 31, USC 27

“First quarter will be defensive grinder between the two teams – minimal scoring. Second and third quarters will be dominated by the run game with ND peppering in some long passes as they pull away. However USC is strong at pulling off offensive rallies in the fourth quarter and will close the gap only to come up short from an inability to convert in the red zone. Also, I’m fucking biased at best so this shit is taken with a grain of salt.”
